You’ll operate standard newsroom production system packages such as ingest, recording, desktop editing, templated graphics and media asset management. You’ll also be responsible for handling problems encountered with live transmissions and recordings, taking account of editorial priorities and availability of resources.
Requirements
You’ll bring demonstrable experience of working in a live broadcast environment and you’ll show good familiarity with a range of technical systems, including news production systems. Naturally, you’ll be fully competent in at least one role in Studio/Gallery Operations and will be able to undertake tasks in at least one other technical area. The areas are Sound Mixer, Vision Mixer, Technical Co-ordinator (lighting, communications and camera control), Camera Operator and Floor Manager. You’ll also show a willingness to learn to operate new technology systems and to be able to adapt to different working methods. Part of the selection process for this role will include a gallery and studio based test in your primary area of skill.
