Hollyoaks, the much loved and much talked about programme, is about to turn 17 and needs a Head of Production to steer it towards its 18th birthday and beyond.
The Head of Production is a central part of the senior team and involved in all areas of the programme ensuring its editorial aspirations are delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible.
You will therefore need: a thorough understanding of the production process and ideally already have experience of volume drama; a highly developed commercial awareness; significant financial prudence; but most importantly the people skills to manage all the challenges that a high profile, high volume, programme entails.
Alongside the expected organisational and budget management skills, as Head of Production, it is also essential that you are a credible leader and brilliant communicator capable of motivating a large diverse team.
You will also need to be able to think strategically and, inevitably with long running programmes, be receptive to and able to deliver change.
This role is one of the most challenging within TV but also one of the most rewarding.
