Join the BBC Drama Writers Academy 2012

Do you want to write for EastEnders, Casualty, Holby City and Doctors?

Do you want training across BBC One’s flagship shows and a springboard to write across the entire range of the BBC’s drama output?

We’re looking for interesting and original writers who can build on the success of our Continuing Drama shows. Now in its eighth year, the BBC Drama Writers Academy is a major initiative aimed at discovering and training the next generation of writers for BBC One drama. Starting in September 2012, it’s an intensive 15-month programme that will equip you with valuable skills and experience.

Our focus is on finding talented writers with distinctive voices. Your background could be in film, TV, radio or theatre, but you must have had at least one professional (paid) drama commission. You’ll also demonstrate a passion for television drama, particularly our flagship shows.

Closing date for applications is midnight on 3rd May 2012.
