Multi-skilled Camera Operator – Channel 5 News
Channel 5 News is looking for a fully Multi-Skilled Camera Operator capable of filming and editing reports on a wide range of news stories and features.
You must possess a proven track record shooting high quality pictures, a flexible approach with the ability to multi-task, excellent camera skills, competent editing skills and experience of shooting lives.
Key responsibilities include being able to film events and picture sequences in full liaison with other team members, editing to network broadcast standards. You will also work alongside the 5 News Correspondents on location, as well as alone to shoot interviews on occasions. Being able to work to a tight deadline is a must, with the ability to shoot and edit a story in one day.
Self-motivated, imaginative and a sharp eye for picture in TV newsgathering, you will have an awareness of health and safety responsibilities is essential. A good knowledge of Ofcom regulations would be advantageous.
Applicants will be required to display considerable experience of shooting and editing broadcast news packages.
