We have two exciting new opportunities to join the fantastic creative teams as we look to hire two outstanding Directors of Production, 1 for Factual Entertainment & Events the other in Entertainment & Music. We believe these are the very best senior production roles across the UK Entertainment TV space and will offer a huge breadth of variety for someone with a wealth of production experience who can lead on our long-term content strategy

So what of the genres?

Factual Entertainment & Events is where we create super brand Top Gear, shows such as Dragons Den, Junior Doctors, Antiques Roadshow, Bargain Hunt and ceremonial events such as the Royal Wedding, the Festival of Remembrance and the Suffragettes’ March.

As for the Entertainment & Music, apart from being the home of the Nation’s favourite, Strictly Come Dancing we also produce Mastermind, Question of Sport, Later with Jools Holland, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Sport Relief, BBC Young Dancer, Glastonbury, Hootenanny, The National Lottery Awards, The Proms and many more.

So what about you?

Supporting the MD for the Genre, the Directors of Production will lead the production management and commercial teams, ensure the health of the pipeline with appropriate investment in development and, as a senior leader, drive new business from both the BBC and in all major international territories.

You will have an outstanding track record as a leader in business and deep experience of production management, matched with proven commercial acumen and the ability to transform a business in terms of commercial success, production methods and digital platforms.

With experience gained both domestically and internationally, you’ll be a seasoned negotiator with an extensive network across broadcasters and 3rd parties. You will be know what it is to lead and develop diverse teams across a number bases, coupled with extensive experience of the production process, IP and rights management, P&L management and Production Health & Safety.
