Broadcast Systems Coordinator

We are seeking the services of a freelance Broadcast Systems Coordinator to join a leading, household-name Media & Broadcasting client in London. Working with a very well-established brand, the Systems Coordinator will provide system administration and technical support to live broadcasting systems.

Knowledge and understanding of broadcast workflow is essential, as well as previous experience working in a position within broadcast television.

Role & Responsibilities

*Provide system administration of asset management and other broadcast systems
*Provide support to system engineers and maintenance support for all broadcast infrastructure
*First line support and maintenance of broadcast systems
*Testing systems and workflows to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
*Effectively document problems and their resolution
*Coordination to ensure broadcast infrastructure hosted on IT servers are maintained and updated
*Ensure systems are effectively documented with up to date technology descriptions/user guides

Skills & Experience Required

*Understanding of broadcast workflow and technology is essential
*Systems administration experience
*Strong knowledge of current broadcast workflows/systems and non-linear broadcasting systems (including transcoding)
*High level of organisational ability
*Excellent communication skills, and ability to break down technical jargon
*Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
*Flexibility to work outside of usual business hours if technical issues arise
*Knowledge of Post-Production, Java & Linux are desirable
