Manager, Insights (Finance)The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Manager, Insights responsible for stewardship of audience and competitive media reporting insights to support local station sales and content initiatives. This position is located at the Scripps corporate office in Cincinnati or may be located at a Scripps Media, Inc. facility. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Supervise a team of Research Analysts responsible for periodic audience measurement and competitive reporting with insights Monitor and ensure fulfillment of ad hoc requests among available Analysts Collaborate with research management team to establish quality standards and monitor progress Monitor scope and nature of requests to identify opportunities for the Research Insights team to proactively fulfill business needs Complete and distribute periodic and ad hoc reporting Review Analyst research methods and analysis and coach the team for continuous improvement Provide continuous performance assessment and feedback including quarterly formal assessment Onboard and train new Analysts and advance the analysis skills of the team Become directly involved in analysis as needed to keep pace with demands Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL DO: BA degree or equivalent experience in marketing or advertising research preferred Minimum of 3 years of research experience, preferably within a sales or consumer insights environment required WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Personal computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Word and Wide Orbit Media Sales Knowledge of audience measurement (Nielsen, comScore, Scarborough) and competitive media (AdIntel, Kantar, Media Monitors) data Excellent written and verbal presentation skills Must be well-organized, self-starting and detail-oriented Must be a team player, working collaboratively in a team environment, while supporting multiple stations within region of responsibility ABOUT SCRIPPS: The E.W.
