Primary PurposeIn conjunction with management, responsible for managing, incorporating and planning of organization-wide real estate needs for buildings, equipment and facilities. Activities include incorporating real estate solutions; site location and acquisition, managing relationships with outside vendors; negotiating leases; disposing of excess property.Key ActivitiesEnsures the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities.Analyze, propose, and negotiate the acquisition or disposition of properties in alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals.Works with a broader team to examine demographics, tax information, market conditions, legal records, competitors, zoning ordinances, and other variables in site identification process.Prepare reports, sales projections, financial forecasts, and summaries of benefits and risks.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gain approval of new site selections and execute upon real estate/site acquisition/disposition objectives.Conduct purchase, lease and/or sale transactions leading up to and through acquisition closings and lease commencement.Negotiate purchases, new leases, lease amendments, deal terms and provisionsSkillsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree (or international equivalent)6+ years of relevant experience.Skills & AbilitiesConsidered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from managerConducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.Work EnvironmentNormal officeLocation: Cincinnati or TBD depending upon applicantTravel approximately 10-30%#LI-CH1ABOUT SCRIPPS:The E.W.
