Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work for our cutting edge, youth orientated, broadcaster client as Socials Video Editor

As part of the promo team, the Socials Video Editor will work alongside the short form and marketing teams to make the existing video library suitable for social media distribution.




  • Reformatting of assets for different aspect ratios
  • Creatively editing original material to deliver on social media
  • Onlining and finishing assets for socials delivery
  • QC fixes of all deliveries including regional assets
  • Creation of archive masters and any sub deliverables
  • To help codify workflows for versioning operations
  • Carry out instructions given by the Compliance and R&C teams including replacing or blurring shots
  • Create AAF and reference .mov files for the Audio Mixers. Liaise with the audio team to lay back Stereo Mix files to the picture
  • Communicate with the QC Team; delivering files for eyeball and Automated QC where required
  • Liaise with Producers & Coordinators to pick up QC fixes
  • Report on QC fixes
  • Export deliverables and upload them to the MAM
  • Create international packages containing final graphics, captions, archive masters and audio stems for international teams 
  • Communication of all deliverables with the Post Production team
  • Ensure the completion & delivery of Archive Master to Post Tech for archive storage 
  • Ensure all work is tightly produced to company production standards and process, creating and maintaining key documentation, project plans, estimates, scope of work, risk assessments & budget documentation


Other duties


  • To undertake general administrative duties as and when required
  • To be an ambassador for the business at all times


Skills & Experience Required


  • You’ll have strong technical knowledge of broadcast & QC delivery gained in a busy and fast paced environment 
  • Solid experience with Adobe editing software - Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. 
  • You will also have demonstrable knowledge of video formats and the technical export process
  • You’ll have an acute attention to detail 
  • You’ll have a strong understanding of the breadth of QC issues e.g. drop frames, duplicate frames, etc.
  • You’ll have demonstrable experience delivering a high volume of accurate content under tight deadlines
  • You’ll be highly organised and can manage multiple projects at once
  • You will love learning new skills and constantly pushing the boundaries of your capabilities
  • You will be confident working in a team as well as working independently and will be a natural people-person, able to adapt to a fast-moving environment
