Nickelodeon network comprises seven dedicated entertainment channels for kids aged 4-15 and their families: Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon HD, Nickelodeon +1, Nicktoons, Nick Jr., Nick Jr. +1 and Nick Jr. 2. The entertainment company has built a diverse multi-platform business by putting kids first in everything it does – Kids Rule!


Content is at the core of the business with critically-acclaimed and hugely-popular television programming from the UK and around the world merging with bespoke content online, as well as consumer product, recreation including Nickelodeon Land at Pleasure Beach Blackpool and events such as SlimeFest, Big Base Camp and Paw Patrol Live!


Nickelodeon network shows include: SpongeBob SquarePants, Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and live action hits The Thundermans and Henry Danger.


The Consumer Products Department

The department is responsible for the commercial, creative and strategic success of Nickelodeon’s consumer products business, including, but not limited to;

  • Launching and nurturing Nickelodeon IP
  • Franchise planning
  • Retail strategy and partnerships
  • Product strategy and partnership collaborations
  • Licensing, promotions and collaborations
  • In collaboration with the commercial team, deepen commercial partnerships with retailers and toy manufactures


The Vice President, Consumer Products UK & Ireland, drives the Consumer Products activities across the region. The role is responsible for the setting goals and running the CP P&L across the UK & Ireland.


The VP will be responsible for contributing to the success of the overall VNCP business, managing team members and agent’s and managing global partnership activity locally with the heads of the categories, sourcing and executing promotional deals. The role will also oversee the Retail Sales and Marketing team, providing them with leadership, advice and experience to drive incremental revenue through Key Account Management, while also sharing best practises with International colleagues.


Key Responsibilities;

Revenue targets and budget management:

  • Plan, develop and implement the Global CP strategy across UK & Ireland for all relevant Viacom Properties across Nickelodeon, MTV, Paramount and Comedy Central
  • Achieving annual revenue targets across licensing and promotions
  • Lead key negotiations and oversee implementations of all licensing & agency deals
  • Manage UK & Ireland Licensing Team Expense budget – including approvals and budget setting
  • Manage UK & Ireland Licensing Deal Memos process – providing feedback, approvals etc
  • Oversee Category and Retail team for exploitation of 3rd party IP, representing CP & Licensing for selected non-owned IP (Blue Zoo, Sixteen South, M4E)
  • Support the financial planning processes of VIMN each quarter and during budget/LRP process and be voice of CP business unit with Snr Management for these markets

Strategic planning and development

  • Oversee the team to identify key partners and categories to build new business locally and where appropriate identify if these partners can/should become Regional/Global partners
  • Oversee team to identify gaps in the Market and in licensee’s portfolio and facilitate cross-fertilisation of licensees when relevant/appropriate, and sharing of best practices
  • Apply critical thinking and creativity to deal-making with business partners and key stakeholders
  • Develop systems to report key results, success stories and other relevant business issues to internal and external stakeholders


Franchise management

  • Strategise with CP Marketing Director the Franchise management of Evergreen, Global and local properties
  • Oversee CP team for exploitation of Agency CP rights for non wholly owned IP (Ryan’s World, Baby Shark etc)
  • Include all consumer touch-points for commercial exploitation of our IP onto physical products


Relationship management

  • Manage and own Internal stakeholders across the cluster and with the Global VNCP team
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with key brands and businesses for partnership and commercial success
  • Evolve retail and selected CP partnerships into broader commercial relationships
  • Strong relationships with Cluster & Global counterparts and all LOB’s


Managing external and third-party agencies

  • Oversee team to produce best-in-class tools (including presentations, marketing collateral and trade events)


Department management and leadership

  • Improve efficiency and profitability of UK/Ireland CP business
  • Lead and manage UK & Ireland CP category, retail and marketing team


SMT responsibilities

  • Be an active member of both the Nick UK senior management team
  • Focus on driving business forward and setting future proofing strategy
  • Providing company-wide leadership

  • Have strong retail relationships across the board within UK & Ireland retail landscape
  • Licensing experience, who exhibits an understanding of and an affinity for Licensing with considerable experience, as agent or licensor
  • Comfortable in face to face presentations, direct dealings with clients, deal management and ability to get involved in the creative process of product development.
